In my minds forest I see trees,
I hear the voices of nature and smell the wooded breeze
And am humbled by my forgetting
My own disconcerting unease.
My mind grows large, and is shaded with green
My soul is to be reborn, and reset to zero
We all owe our life to 12 inches of topsoil and the fact that it rains,
Not to some distant, unknown hero
Our planet is the one true God, and when it speaks
We must listen carefully and honestly to what is said.
